Section 1 – MES Client

This section describes the interface of the MES Client application. The configuration within MES Client for implementing Quality plans is also included.

Section 2 – System Platform Configuration

This section explains the necessary preparation of the System Platform. This section also describes the importing and implementation of the Sample Recording Object and the building of the Entity Model.

Section 3 – Further Preparation for Manufacturing Execution System - Quality

This section provides the MES database preparation needed prior to setting up the Quality functionality. This includes verifying the Entity Model, defining units of measure, and creating shifts.

Module 3 – Manufacturing Execution System - Quality Configuration

Section 1 – Sampling Configuration

This section explains the need for adequately building your QM Specification in Manufacturing Execution System - Quality. The requirements for a Sample Plan, including frequency, Characteristics, and quality management specifications are included.

Section 2 – The Sample Viewer Control

This section describes how to build and implement the Sample Viewer Control. This includes an explanation of how to use .NET controls as an Industrial graphic for use in an InTouch application and how to view a Basic Control Chart.

Section 3 – Verified Writes

This section illustrates how to configure verification of writes to Sample Plans.

Section 4 – Automatic Data Collection

This section illustrates how to automatically collect System Platform data by configuring a Sample Recording Object in the Galaxy.

Section 5 – Causes

This section illustrates how to create cause groups and causes and link them to characteristics.

Section 6 – Shift-Based Data Collection and Binary Attributes

This section introduces Sample Plans for collecting data during shifts and Binary Attribute Characteristics.

Module 4 – Features of the Sample Recording Object (SRO)

Section 1 – On Demand Sampling

This section explains how to implement scripting in a System Platform environment to generate samples manually.

Section 2 – Sample Recording Object (SRO) Graphics Features

This section explains how to implement the other features of the Sample Recording Object (SRO), including user information, lot identification, and notes.

Module 5 – Integration with Manufacturing Execution System Software - Operations

Section 1 – Basic Review of Manufacturing Execution System - Operations

This section reviews the basic concepts of Manufacturing Execution System - Operations. This includes instantiating an Operations Capability Object, building the Entity Model, and building the Operation Model. It further explains the integration between Manufacturing Execution System - Operations and Manufacturing Execution System - Quality by collecting Quality data with an Operations job.

Section 2 – Generate Samples While a Job is Running

This section introduces linking a process and an item to a Quality Management Specification.

Module 6 – MES Reporting Features

Section 1 – Control Charts

This section describes the configuration of an SPC Control Chart using MES .NET controls.

Section 2 – MES Intelligence Reports

This section demonstrates how to access the Manufacturing Execution System - Quality reporting elements using the MES Intelligence Reports.
